Seven Sensible Reasons.

    1. We understand business cultures.
    VG is adept at learning the cultures of the organizations that we work with and at customizing programs to incorporate client objectives, unique success criteria and business measurements. VG staff consult on an ongoing basis with teams and managers, guiding and assisting with integrating business strategies and people's agendas. We pay attention to all levels of need, personal and professional.

    2. We blend training and OD.
    We're especially effective at providing both training and process intervention/consultation as the situation demands. Most vendors can do only one activity well, either training or OD interventions. We integrate both activities in a seamless way.

    3. We focus on practical results.
    Our conceptual models are intuitively meaningful and straightforward. We feel it is important that our work be both practically useful and theoretically sound. We take the complexity out of important issues so that everyone is on the same page, regardless of their sophistication, experience or education level.

    4. We provide the right training for the right level.
    Not everyone needs to have the same training. We provide step-by-step methods of instruction that technical people appreciate, along with road maps of where we're going. Our curriculum for managers interlocks with the curriculum for teams, thus providing the right skills for the right level of employee at the time when they can best use it.

    5. We strive for immediate skill transfer.
    Our experience teaching group facilitation has made us very strong in group process tools and techniques. These processes are very useful to any group wanting to streamline a business process or cut cost and time from a production schedule. We model and use these tools. This makes it easier for participants to use the same processes when they go back to the work place. It means the skill transfer can be immediate.

    6. We're adept at using video and personal feedback.
    We employ feedback as one of our key learning strategies. We use video feedback, peer and instructor feedback as well as team feedback in order to create awareness of blind spots and fine tune individual and team performance. The feedback is not anonymous or written; it is face to face and constructively interactive.

    7. We value the long business relationship.
    We're good with people. We value long-term relationships. We're easy and fun to work with, not only in class but also in our ongoing consulting and day-to-day project work.
